EVENTS / COMPETITIONS

Welcome to our Website
Your choice for publishing, editing and manuscript appraisals.

Whether you are a ...

  • published author
  • unpublished author
  • self-publishing author
  • student struggling with academic writing
  • business person requiring assistance with proofreading or technical writing

we are pleased to welcome you to our website.

We are passionate about working to advance the recognition of writers everywhere. We help authors bring their work to the best possible level to achieve their goals.

We offer a worldwide service; wherever you are, wherever you go, we are as close as your computer. We edit in U.S., British, or Australian English. For many writers self-publishing can be a practical option. Would you like to know more about what we do? We are happy to answer any questions.

EDITING AND PROOFREADING

We help your project by ensuring clarity, correct grammar and word choice. We try to remove any inconsistencies in plot and character development as well as improving structure and plotting.

Even great writers require the work of an editor as, like all of us, they are often too close to their work to see it with impartiality.

Our reputation is also at stake. We don’t like errors because you can bet that readers will notice them.

Imagine you had just washed your car but accidentally left a patch of dirt and grime on the driver’s door. Wouldn’t it stand out? The same applies to errors in text; not only does it make you look bad, it also makes us look bad, so we work very hard to ensure that doesn’t happen.

MANUSCRIPT APPRAISAL

Anyone who is serious about their writing and who wishes to be published should have a manuscript assessment. A professional manuscript evaluation is not the same as asking your family or friends to read your work. For the sake of harmony, to spare your feelings, (and because those close to us often see what we have written through rose-coloured glasses), it is almost impossible for them to be impartial.

We might not tell you everything you want to hear, nor agree with everything you have written, but we do tell you

  • what you need to know
  • what you need to work on and
  • what you need to change

to make your manuscript a really compelling work which has more chance of being represented by an agent and/or published.

We provide you with a complete summary of our findings.

We address matters of

  • syntax and spelling
  • unintentional lapses
  • quality of research

and we point you in the right direction for your next draft. We ask that you bear in mind that the advice we give is from someone who is distanced from your work, just as a future reader will be, so we see things you cannot.
